Vanilla Compound Butter

Ingredients:

1 stick or 4 oz. unsalted butter, softened

1 Tablespoon powdered sugar

1 teaspoon Vain Vanilla Extract or Vain Vanilla Paste

pinch salt

Directions:

Place butter in a medium bowl. Add powdered sugar, vanilla extract and/or vanilla paste. You can also scrape caviar from a vanilla bean into the bowl. Blend together with a spatula, or hand mixer until combined. Place on parchment and roll into cigar shape. Refrigerate until firm.

Note: This can be customized to your recipe. Add lemon zest for a citrus hit, or warm spices and honey, and even freeze-dried raspberries. Great on everything from grilled fish to muffins and pancakes.
