Red Velvet Mug Cake

6 Tbsp all-purpose flour

2 Tbsp granulated sugar

1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder

¼ teaspoon baking powder

⅛ teaspoon kosher salt

⅓ cup whole milk

2 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted

2 teaspoon Vain vanilla extract, we use our Baker's Blend

1 teaspoon red food coloring

3 Tbsp confectioners' sugar

1 Tbsp cream cheese, at room temperature


In a 12-ounce mug, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk, butter, Vain vanilla, and food coloring. In a small bowl, mix together confectioners' sugar and cream cheese until smooth, then drop into mug and push down until covered by batter. Microwave on High until just cooked through, about 90 seconds.
