Chocolate Revel Bars

Ingredients:

1 C butter

2 C. Brown sugar

2 eggs

2 tsp. vanilla

2 1/2 C flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

3 C quick oats

12 oz chocolate chips

15 oz sweetened condensed milk

2 T butter

1/2 tsp salt

1 C. chopped walnuts

2 tsp. Vain vanilla, I used Madagascar Vanilla in Cane Rum

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Base:
Cream butter and sugar until creamy. Mix in eggs and vanilla extract.
Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Stir in Oatmeal. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture.
Filling:
In a double boiler, (or in the microwave) mix until smooth, chocolate chips, butter, salt. Add nuts and Vain vanilla.
Spread 2/3 base mixture on bottom of 10.5 x 15.5 pan. Cover with chocolate filling. Dot with remaining base mixture. 
Bake 25-30 minutes.
